Explore brain development, attachment/bonding, perinatal emotional adjustments, and the transition to parenthood for young parents.

Pregnant and parenting adolescents experience mental health conditions, including depression, over three times the rate of older mothers. They also struggle with the dual stigmas of teen parenthood and mental illness. The Seleni Institute is combining its expertise in adolescent reproductive mental health with its nationally recognized Maternal Mental Health Intensive to launch Adolescent Perinatal Mental Health.
